Many young people are ticking time bombs; walking around with so much mental issues, living detrimental lifestyles, just a short mile away from a deep end____
I once asked a question,
βHow do you define success?β
Is it something that comes at the expense of something even more greater? Is it something you search for outside or something you look within to find?
I've been reading a lot lately, learning about the world, and I've observed that one peculiar reason a lot of young people fall into serious mess is because most young people only physically transition from childhood to adulthood. They forget to also transition mentally.
As an adult, there are certain wants you do not allow occupy your mind. As a child, you do whatever you want to do, but as an adult, you do whatever needs to be done. An adult understands that human needs are so insatiable and striving to meet them all, always ends in ruin.
Listen, dear young one, you've become an adult.
A strong resilient, independent individual not driven by wants, but driven rather by need and ambitions. A vulnerable yet mentally-tough human who will one day create a home and build a community. A tough yet kind soul who will fix broken children and teach them the way. An ordinary person who is totally in control of their emotions and actions.
That is you, or rather who you should be, young one.
Yes, there are adults who are not all of this. Well, do you wish to follow their footsteps?
βIf you are to have a great kingdom, rule over yourself!β Philosopher Pubililius says,
βRemember that the less you want, the more powerful you are.β
Dear young one, we all live once. We can't and shouldn't spend our time merely chasing wants.
The world needs you urgently!
β Delight.
